Mole National Park is Ghana’s largest protected area and its premier destination for classic safari-style game viewing. The park’s savanna and woodland support elephants, kob, waterbuck, hartebeest, warthogs, and primates including baboons. Mole National Park FAQ

Mole is known for elephants, as well as antelope (kob, waterbuck, hartebeest), warthogs, baboons, and various birds. Leopards exist but are rarely seen. Early morning and late afternoon game drives offer the best chances.
Mole is in the Northern Region. Most visitors drive from Tamale (about 3–4 hours) or from Kumasi. Roads can be rough; a 4x4 or organized tour is recommended. Flights to Tamale are available from Accra.
